Cellular Biomarker Testing
See what's happening
beneath the surface.
Gain insight into brain health, biological aging, and the cellular changes that guide how you think, feel, and function.
Better information means better care
Earlier Insight. Greater Opportunity.
Changes in the body rarely happen overnight. Long before age-related symptoms become obvious, biology is already changing.
Blood vessels, metabolism, inflammation, and even our brains are changing.
Cellular biomarker testing helps bring those changes into focus, giving you a clearer picture of cognitive health, biological aging, and overall wellness. While these insights can’t predict your future, they establish a baseline for tracking changes and can offer more confidence in your health care decisions.
Best of all, the biomarker testing offered at OxyPeak Longevity Institute only requires a blood draw.
Is Cellular Biomarker Testing Right for You?
Biomarker testing at OxyPeak might be worth considering if you:
Are concerned about your memory, focus, or cognitive performance.
Have a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
Are interested in healthy aging and want to establish a baseline.
Have noticed changes in energy, resilience, or recovery.
Want to track changes in your body over time.
Want a clearer picture of what’s happening beneath the surface.
What Can Biomarkers Reveal?
Biology leaves clues. Biomarker testing helps uncover them.
From brain health and Alzheimer’s disease risk to biological aging and chronic inflammation, these biomarkers offer a window into what’s happening deep beneath the surface.
Please note, these tests are not a diagnosis on their own. They do not predict future health outcomes, including the development of Alzheimer’s disease or other conditions. They are not a substitute for a full clinical evaluation. As with any laboratory test, results can include false positives, false negatives, or indeterminate findings. A physician can help you understand your results and how they apply to your individual health.
Alzheimer's Risk Assessments
Biomarker testing can help identify biological changes associated with brain aging, cognitive decline, and potential risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. All testing can be performed at OxyPeak.
pTau-217 Testing
Phosphorylated tau (pTau) is an actively-studied blood-based biomarker associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers have found that changes in pTau-217 levels may be linked to biological changes in the brain long before noticeable symptoms appear. For individuals concerned about memory, cognitive performance, or family history, pTau testing can provide valuable insight. Also available as part of a combined pTau + Amyloid Beta assessment.
Amyloid Beta Testing
Amyloid beta is a protein that can build up in the brain before symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease become noticeable. Amyloid beta 42/40 testing measures the ratio between two forms of this protein. This ratio may be associated with amyloid plaques, one of the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease. When combined with pTau testing, it can help build a more complete picture of Alzheimer’s risk and brain health.
Healthy Aging Biomarkers
Aging is influenced by countless biological processes. These biomarkers give us insight into four of the most important: inflammation, cellular energy, cellular repair activity, and oxidative stress. These biomarkers can be measured individually or as part of our Four-Panel Healthy Aging Biomarker Assessment.
Inflammation Biomarker Testing
Acute, or short-term, inflammation is good. It’s part of our body’s natural defense system against injury and disease. But when low-grade inflammation lingers for months or years, it can affect everything from heart health to brain function. Testing inflammation biomarkers can help spot signs of chronic inflammation before they become obvious, and help us understand how your body responds to stress, illness, and the aging process.
Mitochondrial Biomarker Testing
Found inside our cells, mitochondria create the energy that your body and brain need to operate. When energy production in our mitochondria slows, it can result in low energy, slow recovery, and reduced physical and cognitive performance. Testing can help measure your mitochondrial mass.
Stem Cell Biomarkers
Our bodies are constantly repairing and replacing damaged cells and tissues. Stem cells play a critical role in that process. As we age, stem cell activity naturally declines, reducing the body’s ability to repair and recover. Stem cell biomarkers can offer insight into this process.
Oxidative Stress Biomarkers
Every day, our cells produce biological exhaust called “free radicals.” In small amounts, they’re normal. But when free radicals outnumber the body’s natural defenses, it can create oxidative stress. Over time, oxidative stress can harm DNA, impair mitochondrial function, and contribute to disease, muscle loss, and other age-related concerns. Measuring oxidative stress biomarkers can help identify potential imbalances.
The Four-Panel Healthy Aging Biomarker Assessment
Sometimes the most important changes in the body can’t be felt right away. They happen at the cellular level. Our four-panel healthy aging biomarker assessment measures inflammation, cellular energy production, stem cell activity, and oxidative stress. Together, these four areas give us insight into how your body is functioning today and establish a baseline for measuring change over time.
the starting point
Establish a Baseline.
Measure Change.
Every test starts with a baseline measurement. For some people, that baseline provides reassurance. For others, it reveals areas that deserve closer attention. Either way, it creates a starting point.
At OxyPeak Longevity Institute, blood-based biomarker testing can be completed as a standalone service, part of a larger assessment, or alongside other physician-directed therapies and programs.
Once your results are available, our board-certified physician can review your results with you, helping you understand what the numbers mean, where potential concerns lie, and how the findings fit into your health goals.
As time progresses, you may choose to repeat these tests to better understand how your body changes over time.
